World Environment Day Award Finalists
We are delighted to announce that the Enviro-Stories program is a finalist in this year’s World Environment Day Awards – Sustainability Education Award. This is a great honour for the program, the supporters and the countless participants in the program since it began in 2009. We will be able to announce the winning result after the Presentation Dinner in Sydney on 13 June.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY AWARDS 2014 – FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
Community Groups, large and small businesses, journalists, tertiary institutions and schools are among the finalists in the United Nations Association of Australia World Environment Day Awards 2014, announced today.
The Awards mark World Environment Day on 5 June and celebrate the innovative and outstanding environmental programs and initiatives across Australia, as well as the critical work of environmental leaders.
The World Environment Day Awards 2014 theme is the International Year of Family Farming (IYFF) that aims to raise the profile of family farming and smallholder farming (http://www.fao.org/family-farming-2014/en/). IYFF focuses world attention on the significant role of farming in eradicating hunger and poverty, providing food security and nutrition, improving livelihoods, managing natural resources, protecting the environment, and achieving sustainable development.
The World Environment Award 2014 winners will be announced at the Presentation Dinner to be held at the Crystal Ballroom at Milsons Point in Sydney, on Friday 13 June. This special event will be hosted by Rob Gell, Environmental Entrepreneur and Chairman of UNESCO Western Port Biosphere, with entertainment by Clint Paddison, Comedian.
