On the Sheep’s Back
ABOUT
Deniliquin, locally known as ‘Deni’, is a small town situated in the Riverina district of NSW. It is here that we have the story about the Peppins who made history back in the 1800s as they began to breed Merino sheep for their wool instead of focusing on the meat production market. In fact, 80% of the sheep in Australia today are derived from the Peppin Merino.
